This week at Forest School we had sunshine and campfire crumpets for St Francis class, and torrential rain for St Joseph children! One main principle of Forest School is that children experience nature in all weather, and it has been great to see the children embracing this. Our paths had turned into rivers which were perfect for jumping over and into, we made tracks for conkers and water to run down, painted with mud and played with muddy dinosaurs. Being in the elements builds children’s resilience and immune system, leads them to be  imaginative in their play and as you can see from their faces, gives them an enormous sense of fun!
