Meet the Team

   Miss Ruprai                                            Mrs Edwards-Benham

 Welcome to Year 3!

Reading books and Reading Records need to be in school every day.  Your child will be read with by an adult at any available moment.  Please ensure that your child reads as much as possible at home each week and that this is recorded in their Reading Record.  As children become more confident, they may fill out their own entries by sharing something with us that they have either learnt or enjoyed about what they have read. Please remember to include the page numbers and title of the book.

*Our P.E. lessons will be on Mondays and Wednesdays.  If your child wears earrings, they will need to be removed by yourself prior to the sessions.  Children are unable to participate when wearing earrings or any other kind of jewellery that have not been removed or taped in special circumstances (such as fresh piercings that cannot be removed

*Year 3 take part in Forest School during the Autumn term and this is in lieu of their teacher-led P.E. lesson.  Children will need the appropriate clothing to take part in these sessions and further information regarding this is sent via Parent Mail and available through the Curriculum: Forest School tab on our website.  Each class alternates half-termly.  Zebra Class will have their sessions in Autumn 1 and Meerkat Class will have theirs throughout Autumn 2.

*Children will receive a weekly spelling list that they are encouraged to practise at home. This is available on Spelling Shed, where each child has their own individual login. A weekly spelling test will be completed on Mondays.

*Each child will be given a Times Table Rockstars (TTRS) login as well as access to Maths Shed. We encourage each child to practise their times tables as frequently as possible to boost their fluency and recall in multiplication and division.

We are very much looking forward to working with your child during their time in Year 3.  If you have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to ask.
