Appeals

Parents who have applied for a place in the current admissions round, 2019 – 20, will be notified of the decision by the County Council on the 16 April 2019. Parents who are refused a school place for their child at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary School, who wish to appeal against the decision, should do so before 22 May 2019 to ensure that their appeal is heard before the end of the summer term.  Parents will be notified of their appeal date in due course and will receive appeal papers 10 days before the hearing.  This information will be sent out by West Sussex County Council Legal Services Team.

Consultation on changes to the Admissions Policy for 2021/22

Notice is hereby given in accordance with legislation that the Governing Body, as the Admissions   Authority for St Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary School, is formally consulting on its proposed admission arrangements for 2021-22 admissions.  Please find the proposed admission arrangements on the school’s website section Key Information – Admissions.

Summary of Change:

 Places will be prioritised according to parents/carers who support their application at the time of admission with a certificate of Catholic baptism or reception into the Catholic Church as shown in Admission Oversubscription Criteria 1 – 5. Please see the draft admissions policy attached for more information.

The Governing Body’s consultation period will begin on 4th October 2019, with the closing date for  submitting comments being 25th November 2019.
